The terms governing membership dues, sponsorships, renewals, and refunds.
Membership in the Gold Coast Chamber of Commerce is annual and runs for twelve (12) months from the date your membership is activated. Membership is granted to a business, organization, or individual and is non-transferable without the Chamber's consent. Membership confers the benefits associated with your chosen level and does not create any ownership or financial interest in the Chamber.
Membership dues are due in full upon application and at each annual renewal. Dues amounts depend on the membership level you select and are listed on our Membership page. Payments are processed securely by a third-party payment processor. Your membership activates once payment is confirmed.
Memberships renew annually. If you enroll in automatic renewal, your selected payment method will be charged the then-current dues on your renewal date, and you will receive an advance reminder before each renewal. If you are not enrolled in automatic renewal, we will send renewal notices in advance of your expiration date. You may update your level, payment method, or renewal preferences at any time by contacting the Chamber office.
Membership and sponsorship dues are generally non-refundable, as costs are committed to programming and member services for the year. As a courtesy, a new member may request a refund within fourteen (14) days of the initial payment if no significant benefits (such as event admission, a published directory listing, or promotional placement) have been used. Renewal payments are non-refundable. Approved refunds are issued to the original payment method, less any non-recoverable processing fees. To request a refund, contact us with your name, business, and payment details.
Unless an event listing states otherwise, paid event registrations may be refunded if cancelled at least five (5) business days before the event. Within five business days of the event, registrations are non-refundable but may be transferred to another attendee from your organization. Some events (for example, ticketed galas or third-party-ticketed activities) may have their own terms, which will be noted at registration.
Sponsorships are annual commitments tied to specific benefits and placements. Once sponsorship benefits have begun to be delivered (for example, logo placement, event recognition, or printed materials), sponsorship fees are non-refundable. Custom sponsorship packages are governed by the specific agreement between the sponsor and the Chamber.
You may choose not to renew your membership at any time; simply decline renewal or contact the office, and your membership will lapse at the end of your current term. We do not provide partial-year refunds for cancellation mid-term except as described in Section 4.
Continued membership and benefits require that your account remain in good standing (dues paid and compliance with our Code of Conduct). The Chamber reserves the right to decline, suspend, or revoke membership consistent with its bylaws and policies.
